These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”) and Great Doors and Gates (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your use of our garage door services, website, and business interactions.
By scheduling service, requesting estimates, or using our website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services or website.

2. Scheduling and Appointments

- Secure pets in a separate area during service
- Adult (18+) must be present during service unless prior arrangements are made
3. Estimates, Pricing, and Payment
3.1 Free Estimates
- Verbal and written estimates are provided free of charge
- Estimates are based on initial assessment and may change upon detailed inspection
- On-site estimates are available by appointment
- Estimates are valid for 30 days from date provided
3.2 Pricing Transparency
- Upfront Pricing: You will receive a detailed written estimate before work begins
- Price Approval: Work will not begin until you approve the estimated cost
- No Hidden Fees: All charges will be clearly explained before service
- Price Changes: If additional work is needed, we will stop and obtain your approval before proceeding
3.3 Payment Terms
- Payment Due: Payment is due upon completion of service

4.2 Lifetime Warranty on Parts

- Terms: If a part fails under normal use conditions, we will replace it free of charge
- Exclusions: Damage caused by misuse, abuse, acts of God, or unauthorized modifications
- Transferable: Warranty transfers to new homeowner with proof of original service
4.3 Workmanship Warranty
- Residential Services: 1-year warranty on labor
- Commercial Services: 90-day warranty on labor
- Coverage: Covers defects in workmanship under normal use conditions
- Exclusions: Issues caused by customer misuse, neglect, or third-party interference
4.4 Manufacturer Warranties
- We install products according to manufacturer guidelines
- Manufacturer warranties apply in addition to our warranties
- We assist with manufacturer warranty claims when applicable
- Some manufacturer warranties may require product registration
5. Customer Responsibilities
5.1 Accurate Information
- Provide accurate and complete contact information
- Disclose known issues or previous repairs to garage door system
- Inform us of any special access requirements or safety concerns
- Notify us of any pets, alarm systems, or access restrictions
5.2 Safe Work Environment
- Maintain safe and clean work area
- Keep children and pets away from work area during service
- Provide adequate lighting and ventilation when requested
- Remove vehicles and obstacles from garage as needed
5.3 Payment Obligations
- Pay for services as agreed
- Provide valid payment method
- Notify us immediately of billing disputes
- Cooperate with financing requirements if applicable

- Avoid DIY repairs that may void warranties
6. Limitations and Exclusions

6.2 Pre-Existing Conditions

- We are not responsible for defects in customer-supplied products

- Claims arising from third-party modifications or repairs
- Attorney fees and costs associated with defending such claims
8. Safety and Warnings
8.1 Safety Hazards
WARNING: Garage doors and springs involve serious safety hazards:
- Garage door springs are under 300+ pounds of tension
- Improper repair can cause severe injury or death
- Garage doors weigh hundreds of pounds
- DIY spring repair is dangerous and not recommended
8.2 Safety Instructions
- Do not attempt to repair springs yourself
- Keep children and pets away from moving doors
- Test safety features monthly (auto-reverse, photo-eyes)
- Contact us immediately if door malfunctions
- Do not disable safety features
8.3 Emergency Situations
- If a door is stuck open or off-track, keep area clear
- Do not force a stuck door to open or close
- Contact us for 24/7 emergency service
- Temporary securing measures may be needed for safety
